About the Panelists and Moderator

Rich is passionate about eEdTech and helping people discover pathways to successful careers. He leverages his many years of business experience in strategy, product development, brand creation and sales & marketing as a frequent industry speaker and sought after consultant.

Beginning his career in digital marketing and web development, Rich was recruited into the private, independent school market to help usher in digital technologies and social media. During this time, Richard served as a student advisor, and was nominated to serve on the CAIS (Connecticut Association of Independent Schools) Technology Commission. In 2012, Rich joined York & Chapel, a brand and digital transformation agency where he began working with secondary and higher ed clients, developing strategies for student engagement and pathway creation. In 2014 Richard founded CareerPath, a SaaS engagement platform. Over the past ten years, Rich has given back to the industry as an advisor to numerous EdTech startups, and generally has had a blast doing what he loves to do — help others succeed.

Ashli is the Catalog Operations Manager at Edmentum, where she leads a team dedicated to optimizing standards alignment and curriculum services across diverse academic and CTE content areas. With 20 years’ experience in managing alignment systems, Ashli is passionate about driving process improvements, ensuring data accuracy, and fostering collaboration between educators and technology partners. Her work has helped streamline alignment workflows and enhance the accessibility of high-quality curriculum resources for schools and districts nationwide

Heather brings over two decades of experience in client services and product support to her role as Business Development Executive. She began her career at EdGate in October 2003 as a Client Support Manager, where she provided vital support for EdGate’s diverse range of teacher and student-facing platforms. Her commitment to service and in-depth understanding of client needs quickly made her an integral part of the team.

In 2014, Heather advanced to the position of Client Engagement Manager. In this role, she became a trusted product expert, guiding clients through training, site configuration, requirements gathering, and project management. Her ability to build strong client relationships and ensure successful implementations laid the foundation for her current work in business development.

Now, as a Business Development Executive on EdGate’s customer service-focused Sales team, Heather leverages her deep knowledge of the company's offerings and her extensive support experience to deliver strategic, client-centered solutions. She is committed to aligning EdGate’s services with client goals, ensuring lasting partnerships built on trust and performance.

From Melissa Quinn's early days as a classroom teacher to her current role as News-O-Matic’s Education Specialist she has remained dedicated to empowering learners at every stage of her career. With a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education and a Master of Education in Literacy, she has developed her expertise across diverse educational settings. Her classroom experience has equipped her to lead impactful professional development sessions, host engaging webinars, and speak at educational conferences—sharing her passion for best teaching practices and technology integration. In her current role, Melissa continues to grow her expertise by collaborating with colleagues and partners to create innovative tools and features that enhance the News-O-Matic platform.
