Vermont Standards History
Vermont formally adopted the Common Core State Standards August 17, 2010 by the Vermont State Board of Education with implementation for the 2013-2014 school year.
Vermont Assessment History
Vermont joined the Smarter Balanced Assessment Consortium (SBAC). The Vermont State Board of Education unanimously voted to suspend scores for the 2014-2015 school year for the purpose of annual school evaluation determinations.
